Nature for nature’s sake.
Amadell is ~80 acres of Appalachia with several buildings for residents, guests, and events. Since 2017, the intention has been to live in harmony with nature, recognize sentience in all its manifestations, and share with those who feel called to visit and to connect with this land. We preserve and protect by limiting disturbance, supporting flourishing the native ecosystem, and listening. We are caretakers and co-creators with this forest.
Over the years we have hosted many different activities including ecological and metaphysical events, private personal retreats, alternative healing modalities, weddings, and other ceremonies. If you feel called to the mountain, the Kumbaya Cabin and The Vista are both available to book through Airbnb for personal stays. If you have a group or event and are interested in booking those or other buildings, email us. Please note, we are private property and only host private events; persons without an express invitation or formal booking at Amadell will be considered trespassing.
Amadell is pronounced 'AH-ma-DELL'. Ama is the Cherokee word for 'water' and is homage to our many natural springs and the peoples that once listened to this land. In several romance languages, 'ama' means 'I love you', which we thought fit just right as well. This being a small forested valley, is a dell.
